International Nishio Budo seminar under the guidance of Takashi Kuroki sensei (5 dan Nishio-ryu Taido, 5 dan Nishio-ryu Iaido, 5 dan Nishio-ryu Jodo, 5 dan Aikido Aikikai) took place in Odessa on April, 16-17 2011. The seminar was organized by YUFUKAN (Nishio Budo centre in Ukraine) with the assistance of Odessa regional federation of Kendo and Budo in the sport club Tiger.

The program of the seminar included Budo presentation, Iaido and Taido workshops and certification. The seminar started with the presentation that included Iaido demonstration by Kuroki sensei, performances of various techniques with and without weapon by Nishio Budo teachers from different regions of Ukraine, as well as Kendo demonstration by representatives of Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo Federation of Ukraine. The performance aroused a vivid interest among the seminar participants and spectators.

Many Nishio Budo practitioners from different regions of Ukraine and Russia took part in the seminar. During both days the trainings were informative, exciting, and done on one breath. The seminar organization was on good level; conditions in the gymnasium were comfortable despite the large number of the seminar participants.

At the end of the seminar, there was an announcement: 4th International Nishio Budo seminar will take place in Kharkov on June 24-26, 2011 under the guidance of Koji Yoshida Shihan (7 dan Aikido Aikikai, 7 dan Toho Iai).
