Kendo, Iaido and Jodo Federation of Ukraine – the Ukrainian non-profit organization of sports, the main purpose of which is the kendo development and promotion in Ukraine.
The Federation was created on the basis of Kiev Kendo Federation, which has been engaged in the development and popularization of kendo in Kiev and throughout Ukraine since 2006.
The creation of the federation was preceded by long and painstaking work to identify its regional network of kendo fans .
Officially, the Federation was registered in December 2009.
President of the Federation is Godai Hiroki sensei – Japanese, was awarded the third kendo dan.
The Federation actively cooperates with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, the Japan Cultural Centre, as well as with other community organizations and sports federations.
The Federation is constantly taking part in and self-organizes seminars, cultural events aimed at promoting the development of kendo and Japanese Culture in Ukraine.
Each year in Ukraine the Kendo, Iaido and Jodo Federation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine conducts National Championship of Ukraine “Ukrainian Cup Tournament of the Ambassador of Japan in Ukraine”.
The priority of the international activities of the Federation is a close co-work with All-Japan Kendo Federation (AJKF) and the International Kendo Federation (FIK).
